WRRP,
Inc. (founded by
Dr. Cornell Horn)
is a nonprofit entity focused on assisting dislocated
workers, the disabled, former-offenders, and homeless military
veterans to become self-sufficient. As academic theory and
commonsense tell us, basic needs must be met before we can
push onward toward higher pursuits. We exist for that very
reason, to provide inspiration, to include job development,
for which we can ensure our clients receive the helping hand
and guidance they may need to be successful. This is a
progenitor toward economic self-sufficiency, this is our
duty, this is WRRP.
The following provides a brief synopsis of
the life-skills philosophy behind our organizational brand:
Wellness: The condition of good mental health,
especially when maintained by proper habits. WRRP provides a mental diet that captures the notion
and implements the practices of healthy-mindedness.
Redemption: Restoring
honor, worth, or reputation through providing unconditional
help and service.
Rehabilitation: Restoring to good health or a useful life, as
through therapy and education.
Note that WRRP’s
position for
transformation contains two additional aspects:
(1) Self-actualization occurs
as people continue attaining higher education
because the notion of “be all that you can be” is manifested
and fulfilled.
(2) Alienation between clients and the greater
community can be mitigated via expressing respect, humility,
and non-persecution.
We believe that our clients deserve
non-condemnation no matter the circumstance in which they find
themselves.
