A rich curriculum of basic
and life skills, coupled with a duty work ethic, esteemed values and
specialized training gives a strong foundation for stability
and continued employment desired by any
employer. Therefore, WRRP is not entirely theoretical but holistic
as we bring life balance through nurturing and guidance as
meeting client needs demand.
Our services rest on the best practice research of psychoeducational principles to insure evidence and results based intervention is our
treatment model. To this end, our
services include:
·
Peer-mentoring
·
Frequent
contacts
-
Behavioral therapy
-
Although we believe the intensity and duration of
aftercare should not be fixed, but depend on the risks and needs of the
person, we operate a cognitive-reconation model that
provides for behavioral management while progressively transforming
our client's level of moral reasoning towards social
sustainability.
WRRP’s behavioral therapy
combines
cognitive behavioral therapy
and
moral
reconation therapy
into a 13-26 week
evidence-based
project. Although this project may extend beyond 26 weeks, in
stages psychoeducational techniques are done
in both group and individual therapy sessions. Note that our general treatment is not
limited to stimulus control and impulse control. Teaching participants ways to
anticipate and to cope with high-risk situations is a strategy to overcome relapse
and provides a social learning alternative. WRRP also provides daily
structural needs training to include time management, boundaries and limits
setting, and assertive communication skills. We teach ways to respect other people’s boundaries and to protect
one’s own.

Connecting
employers with employees
We provide transformationalists,
not just transitionalists. Transformational mentorship occurs when one or more
persons engage with others in such a way that both mentors and mentees raise one
another to higher levels of motivation and morality, and results in a
transforming effect on both parties. Our leadership performance is best measured
by its capacity to leverage human intellect, lived experience, and humility in the service of
inspiring individual behavior towards that which benefits society.
Assistance with housing
placement and community-based resources
Per approval, former-offenders participate
in a five week program consisting of volunteering their time and service to other nonprofit organizations and
also provide
mentoring services.
WRRP’s
redemption website
provides
anonymous crime victims the ability to post how they were affected by crime so
that this can be shared in workshops to former-offenders. After former-offenders
complete workshops about the cost of crime to victims, themselves, and to their
communities, these former-offenders are allowed to post letters of apology and
self-improvement reports on our website for anonymous crime victims to view.
Former-offenders who complete
redemption services and workshops are given a WRRP certificate of acknowledgement.
Community Service diversionary sentencing program
At WRRP we allow individuals to complete their court mandated
community service at our location.
